  3. Sound Effects Test:
  4. Press/hold ALT-S-F on title screen to 
  5. activate a new menu item in the 
  6. configuration menu (Sound Effects Test).  
  7. Hehehehe.
  8.  
  9. Choosing Hidden Difficulty levels:
  10. To choose Deadly Level (for ONE PLAYER 
  11. only), keep pressing the right arrow 
  12. key even though it is on Champion Level 
  13. already. Deadly will show up after about 
  14. 5-8 kep presses. To choose Ultimate level 
  15. (for ONE PLAYER only), press and hold down 
  16. these keys: O+M+F. Press them together at 
  17. once will let you choose Ultimate level.
  18. If you are in Deadly Level and (may not 
  19. be needed) in Hyper Mode, doing a Destruction 
  20. on certain boards will result in slightly 
  21. modified forms of the Destruction being done. 
  22. To try this out, choose Jaguar and fight in 
  23. ONE PLAYER mode with Deadly Hyper on, and do 
  24. a destruction to opponent on the FIRE stage 
  25. (the one with the 'grill' <-- BIG HINT on 
  26. the floor with the flying fireballs). Watch the
  27. linoleum fly!

  30. Unranked Challengers pop up if you do a 
  31. destruction on someone:

  33. Christian - Crystal's brother (when you 
  34. defeat Crystal with destruction)
  35.  
  36. Jazz Jackrabbit - (defeat #2 rank)
  37.  
  38. Eva Earlong - Jazz's Girl (in World Championship)
  39.  
  40. Devan Shell - Arch Foe of Jazz Jackrabbit (W.C.)
  41.  
  42. Bethany - Girl who says "Don't hurt me" while 
  43.           she kicks yer butt (W.C.)
  44.  
  45. Angel - The "moontian" (W.C.)
  46.  
  47. Iceman - Shows up when you beat a female 
  48. (Or #1 in NorthAm). Defeat Iceman with 
  49. Shadow to get the Ice Floor Freeze in 
  50. Tournament mode!

  52. Nicoli - Mysterious person who fights you 
  53. when you beat #1 in W.C.
  54.  
  55. FIRE - In Fireball Stage, Do a destruction 
  56. (Only in one player, not two then keep 
  57. repeating the destruction (Only known to 
  58. work by using Jaguar, Electra, and Shadow) 
  59. If you defeat FIRE using Katana, you will 
  60. get a new move for Katana:

  62. FIREBALL (as done by Fire himself): D,B+P
  63. ICE - in Ultimate difficulty only. After 
  64. defeating Fire, do a destruction  on him 
  65. and then keep repeating the move for the 
  66. destruction.

  68. If you defeat ICE using Shadow, you will 
  69. get a new move for Shadow: 
  70.  
  71. ICE FREEZE (as don by ICE _and_ Iceman): F,D,B+P
  72.  
  73. STEEL CLAW - Cyborg from Hell (I think he's 
  74. an Iron Fist member)
  75.      Beat Steel Claw and get a Special Item! 
  76.      For Jaguar, it's two cannons in one shot 
  77.      Other robots get some other enhancements 
  78.         
  79.  Note: Some other HUD's can give you the 
  80.        enhancements instead of Steel Claw. :) 
  81.        Having gotten more than one enhancement 
  82.        will make your 'bot a _LOT_ better (hint)
  83.  
  84. To change the colors of the 'bots in 2-player 
  85. or 1-player: use your keyboard in the 'bot 
  86. selection phase, hit the 1,2 and 3 key for 
  87. 'bot one's color (not keypad) and the 4,5 
  88. and 6 key to change the color of the second 'bot.

  90. Some other stuff to type while playing:

  92. In any menu except the gameplay menu, press 
  93. and hold 2097 for 2 sec. Then go to Gameplay 
  94. menu and you'll have access to an advanced 
  95. options menu.

  97. While playing, press and hold BIG and any 
  98. number from 1-9 to increase or decrease 
  99. amound of scrap falling off a robot when hit.
  100. While playing, press and hold REIN for 2 
  101. seconds to get a lot of scrap falling from 
  102. the top of the screen.
